BYLAWS

NUSACC's bylaws are the guiding principles by which NUSACC operates. The board of directors formulated NUSACC's operating policies for the management team to implement under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (CEO). NUSACC will implement policies as spelled out by tasks through committees in accordance with the provisions of its bylaws.

ARTICLE III
INCOME STREAMS

The NUSACC shall endeavor to pursue diverse and multiple sources of generating income to support its various causes and implement its strategic objectives. It is in light of this that efforts should be made to consider the following potential streams of income for the Chamber:

  • Seminars, Workshops, Trade Exhibitions: The NUSACC will earn revenue by organizing seminars, workshops, and trade exhibitions to showcase trade,
    business and investment opportunities in Nigeria and the United States.
  • Business trips and trade missions: The NUSACC will organize periodic business trips and trade missions to Nigeria and the United States and earn
    revenue from such activities. Business trips and missions should be organized as needed, especially, when enough participants have indicated interest and signed up for them.
  • Membership Fees: The Board of Directors should determine the appropriate membership fee to be charged to all business entities, organizations, and
    individuals that seek membership in the NUSACC. A determination of what is a fair and equitable fee can be made by conducting a comparative analysis of the membership fees charged by similar Chambers of Commerce in the local area.
  • Representation Fees: The NUSACC will raise additional revenue by representing the business and commercial interests of both Nigerian and American states, cities and municipalities that have interest in establishing trade offices in both countries, but lack the resources to do so.
  • Partner Identification/Brokerage Fees: Part of the rationale for establishing the NUSACC is to match Nigerian businessmen and women with their American counterparts. The NUSACC will earn revenues from a number of related activities, including, but not limited to a) partner identification, screening, and qualification; b) partner matching; and c) facilitating business deals for both Nigerian and American businessmen and women.
  • Market Studies & Research: The NUSACC will earn revenues by conducting customized market studies and research on specific industry clusters of the
    Nigerian and American economy for businessmen and women who are interested in investing in either country.
  • Business Consulting Services: The NUSACC will earn revenues by providing a business consulting services to its members including, but not limited to business registration, obtaining licenses, identifying business sites and locations, obtaining expatriate quotas, sourcing contracts, sourcing raw materials, equipment and skilled staff, for businesses interested in investing in both Nigeria and the United States.
